General Information

Colorado Ski Racing allows CU Boulder students the chance to compete across the state.

This team is inclusive to all levels of racing skills and gives athletes an opportunity to train, compete, and improve their skiing abilities in a fun environment.

During the fall semester, the team hosts informal dryland training twice each week to help athletes prepare for the upcoming race season. In addition to training, several social and recruitment events are held throughout the semester, including a team meet-and-greet bowling night, a camping trip, and a football tailgate. These events give prospective members the opportunity to meet current athletes and learn more about the team.

Fall Drylands and Social Events

Fall Training Camp

The season begins in the fall with the team's annual preseason training camp, offering athletes the opportunity to get on snow before the competitive season begins. This year's camp will be held at Winter Park in November and provides an excellent introduction for new members.

There is no requirement to commit to the team until after this trip. This allows prospective members to “try-out” the team before fully committing.

Racing and Training

The team competes in four race weekends across Colorado each season, running from early January through February. Team members race against other top Rocky Mountain collegiate programs, including the University of Utah, RMC, the University of Denver, Colorado State University, and many more.

Optional training is held Monday through Thursday mornings at Eldora Mountain , providing athletes with the opportunity to sharpen their racing skills, prepare for competition, and build strong connections with teammates throughout the season.
